WATCH DESIGN

We are fans of all things design whether that’s architecture, interior design, art, product design or cars. When we’re designing a new timepiece, we take inspiration from our love of Italian cars and classic watches, with particular attention paid to the comfort and feel of the watch. From our choice of materials, to the rounded edges of our cases and the smooth tactile quality of the engraving on every case back, every watch is created, refined and tested to produce a truly unique eye-catching timepiece. 

SIGNATURE ARTWORK

A key feature of our watch designs are their unique casebacks. We work with UK artists, to create exclusive pieces of art for all our watches, inspired by the name of each timepiece. Our first piece drawn for Jump Over The Moon, by Chris ‘Okse’ Oxenbury, depicts an outer space star studded scene, with an astronaut reaching out and jumping over the moon, while in the background an alien abduction over Earth is detailed.

HANDMADE LEATHER POUCHES

To protect watches while on the go, we teamed up with Warwickshire based boutique handmade leather goods company FizzArrow, to create exclusive hand cut and stitched tan leather watch pouch. Each one is made using vegetable tanned leather with red thread detail, featuring zips to the side to connect to additional MAALS pouches, so you can protect your collection as it grows, and a curved tuck flap closure secures the pouch, behind a debossed MAALS logo to the front.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

We only use the best materials in our watches with a high level of precision and detail. Each MAALS watch case is CNC machined and individually polished or brushed on each case profile. Before going to production, every watch, part and detail such as the artwork engraving, is extensively prototyped and subjected to extensive testing, to ensure every element of the timepiece has the quality you’d expect of avid collectors.
